TESEM LAUNCHES A NEW ANODISING PLANT

TESEM_automatitzacioanoditzatTESEM has launched a new anodising plant at its production centre in the town of Torelló (Barcelona). The 800m² plant has state-of-the-art facilities and a fully monitored and automated control system. The introduction of the new anodising line will expand the range of services and finishes and help obtain superior quality in very personalised projects with limited quantities.

According to Jesús Picón, Operations Director of TESEM, “the new line will diversify and give flexibility to the anodising plants, obtaining high quality pieces and a more optimised production process”. The racks, however, move manually, enabling smaller batches and far more complex processes. This flexibility also provides greater capacity for the production of niche perfume and cosmetics products.
In recent years, TESEM has specialised in highly complex technical projects for Prestige perfume and cosmetics products. The introduction of the new anodising line will expand the range of services and finishes and help obtain superior quality in very personalised projects with limited quantities. It also serves as a pre-industrial laboratory for creating colour ranges for subsequent production on the automatic lines or for developing innovations in new finishes or effects.

High profitability in production is mainly achieved thanks to two factors. Firstly, since it is not a mass production system the vats are individual and independent and allow a lot of flexibility in case the flow is interrupted, so there is minimal impact on production. Secondly, the facilities and operating controls are located on the side of the line, enabling any maintenance work and actions without affecting the continuity of production.
The new facilities complete and increase the anodising capacity, together with the other two automatic production lines. The Torelló production centre consists of 5 production plants that combine the deep drawing, polishing, anodising, plastic injection, decorations and assembly processes. The TESEM Group has been manufacturing metal and plastic components for the perfume and cosmetics industry since 1985 and works for the most prestigious brands in the sector.
